Naturopath training: What is behind the OdA AM certificate in naturopathy?
ATTENTION: Are you interested in training to become a "naturopath"? - Then you should know: These designations are no longer permitted in Switzerland, as the word components "doctor" and "physician" are only permitted for people with a university degree and qualification. The term "naturopath", on the other hand, is just right for you.
The OdA AM certificate can be applied for on completion of alternative medicine training with proof of completed practical (internship) and theoretical training ("Tronc Commun" / medical basics) as well as specialist training (method training) in one of the specializations of Traditional European Naturopathy (TEN), Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), homeopathy or Ayurvedic medicine. This is subject to the condition that the completed training is recognized by the OdA AM (Organization of the Working World of Alternative Medicine) or that its requirements are met.
The OdA AM certificate is a prerequisite for the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for naturopaths with a federal diploma.
