Do I have to do a lot of independent study on a Business Administration degree course in addition to the lessons?
Unlike at school, where only a small part of the course material has to be prepared and followed up at home, students are expected to work independently on a large part of what they need to learn - even in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program. This self-study usually involves considerably more hours than you spend in lectures, tutorials, projects, etc., often up to twice as many. You should therefore be aware that a degree in Business Administration requires a high degree of independence, discipline and a sense of responsibility in order to graduate.
