To be able to start vocational education and training (VET) as an assembly electrician (Federal VET Diploma), you must have completed compulsory schooling. Some companies also require you to pass an aptitude test.
For the Federal VET Diploma electrician apprenticeship, you must also have completed compulsory schooling. In particular, you must have achieved good grades in geometry, mathematics and physics. Some companies also require you to pass an aptitude test.
There must be no color vision disorder for either gauge.
You also need to have good motor skills and manual dexterity, be able to think logically and have a good technical understanding.
A careful way of working, good manners and the ability to work in a team are also very important for an apprenticeship as an electrician.
