No, you do not necessarily need to have completed an apprenticeship as a housekeeping specialist with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) in order to train as a hotel housekeeping manager with a federal certificate. For this continuing education, further training as a housekeeping manager, you can also have completed three years of basic training in another profession, but with at least four years of professional experience (including at least one year as a manager for at least one person). If you have no basic training at all (apprenticeship or traineeship), you must provide evidence of at least eight years of professional experience with at least one year of management responsibility.
