The vocational year can be organized in a variety of ways and you can choose from a whole range of offers. If you wish to attend the 10th school year, school fees vary depending on the canton, but in around two thirds of cantons these are waived. For other transitional options, such as preparation for creative professions in so-called creative preparatory courses, however, a school fee is usually payable, as is the case for other preliminary courses. Whether and how much you have to pay for the individual courses depends very much on how you want to organize your career choice year, so please always clarify this on an individual basis.
