Do I need to have completed the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in the health sector in order to study physiotherapy?
It is not essential that you have completed your baccalaureate in the field of health; you can also study physiotherapy at a University of Applied Sciences with a Specialized Baccalaureate or Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in another field. In this case, however, as with the Baccalaureate, you must complete a two-month pre-study internship in a healthcare facility, such as a home, hospital or clinic. Proof of this must be provided before the start of studies and should therefore be completed directly after the baccalaureate. Healthcare specialists with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate and healthcare graduates are exempt from this internship.
