Do I have to know before the MarCom exam which Federal Professional Examination I want to take afterwards?
Passing the MarKom certificate examination does not oblige you to take a subsequent Federal Professional Examination, but can also be attended by people who want to "get a taste" of marketing, sales, PR or communication and gain an insight into these fields of activity. For this reason, the MarKom exam preparation and the subsequent exam do not differentiate between future careers, but offer the same content for all participants, whether they are prospective sales specialists, marketing specialists, PR specialists, copywriters or communication planners. Once you have passed the exam, you can then decide whether and which federal certificate you would like to pursue - you do not need to have decided beforehand.
Note: The last MarKom certificate examination took place on December 5, 2023. No further examinations will be held in the future. However, interested parties can enquire at the educational institutions about alternative further training opportunities.
