Do I need to have previous photography experience?
For most basic photography courses, you do not need to have any previous knowledge or experience in photography. You also do not need to know how your own or borrowed camera works. The only important thing is that you are willing to get to know them and enjoy taking photos. For advanced courses, however, you must have previous knowledge, so it makes sense to start as a beginner with a basic course for digital photography or analog photography in order to develop basic photography skills.
