Do I always have to go to vocational school for a commercial apprenticeship?
During your commercial apprenticeship, you will spend part of the week - 3 days at the beginning - at your training company and the remaining days at vocational school. In the third year of your commercial apprenticeship, you will only attend vocational school one day a week, or two days in the case of basic training with a vocational baccalaureate (BM). Attendance at vocational school is compulsory, as is participation in the examinations. The reason for this is that you acquire the theoretical knowledge at school that you need for your practical work during the commercial apprenticeship and your general education is also improved.
