What training can I start with as a purchasing manager?
There are various ways to start out as a purchasing manager, depending on how much experience you have already gained in purchasing, what basic education you have and what continuing education, further training you have already completed. If you have no previous experience as a buyer, we recommend starting with a certificate course to become a Purchasing and Procurement Specialist and, after several years of professional experience, possibly continuing education, further training to become a Purchasing Specialist with Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE). A course in supply chain management could also be an option for you.
