Learning English: How do I choose the right language school?
You can learn English in many places, but they are certainly all equally suitable for you. For example, there are language schools that specialize mainly in business clients and companies, while others do not offer any corporate seminars for learning English. The focus of the schools is therefore an important point when making your choice.
The first decisive factor for private individuals is certainly the location of the language school in Switzerland. There are a whole range of cities throughout Switzerland where you can learn English. You can learn English anywhere - from Aarau to Lucerne, St. Gallen and Zurich. Choose a location for your English course that is in your region and remember that you will probably have to travel this distance once a week. Find out whether you can travel by public transport or, if you prefer to travel by car, whether there are parking facilities nearby.
In addition to the location, the qualifications and experience of the teachers are of course particularly important when learning English and choosing the right language school. The English language trainer should be a native speaker or at least have a C2 level. What experience does he or she have in teaching a foreign language and what training and further education does he or she have?
The equipment of the language school's classrooms can also be an important decision criterion when learning English. You will certainly learn English better in well-ventilated, bright rooms with comfortable chairs and well-kept furniture than in a small, dark cellar. You should therefore enquire about the infrastructure and equipment of the classrooms at the individual schools in advance. Sometimes it is also worth visiting the school in person to get a personal impression of the language school. After all, you will be spending a few afternoons or evenings there in an English course to learn English.
