English course: Which English course is right for me?
Almost all language courses, including English courses, are divided according to level. This means that you can either determine your language level yourself or take a placement test and then register for an English course. The language level can be determined on a scale of six levels developed by the Council of Europe, ranging from A1 for beginners to C2 for very advanced learners. There are regulated examinations for all levels, which qualify for an English course at the next level and conclude with a diploma.
When deciding on an English course, you should also bear in mind that language schools usually offer different types of courses at different levels. You can often choose between standard and intensive courses, prepare for an upcoming language exam in a diploma course or brush up on your business English in a special course, for example. So everyone can find the right English course for them.
