Can I continue to work during my training as an electrical engineer HF (formerly HF electrical engineering technician)?
If you decide to continue your training as an electrical engineer HF (formerly technician HF electrical engineering) while working, you have the option of continuing to work on a reduced schedule. In this case, your working hours will be offset against 720 hours of training and will therefore count towards your specialist training. However, this requires that you have a relevant job that complements the HF course and that you work at least 50 percent of the time. Please enquire directly with the schools about the exact requirements for the electrical engineer HF course.
Note: Since fall 2022, the technician HF courses (formerly "Techniker HF Fachrichtung") have received a separate framework curriculum and a new title for each specialization. In addition, many of the specializations have been abolished.
