Can I take a Federal Professional Examination to become a solar installation project manager without attending a course?
Even if you have already been working as a photovoltaic installer for some time and feel that you can independently acquire the knowledge required for the Federal Professional Examination for Solar Installation Project Managers, the examination regulations do not allow you to take the final examination without having completed the required modules. You attend these modules at a school and complete each of them with a module examination. The Quality Assurance Commission will decide whether to confirm equivalence. You must have a total of eight module qualifications (or the certificate of equivalence):
- Solar heat
- Solar power
- Fundamentals of thermodynamics and hydraulics
- Basics of the building envelope
- Project management basics
- Fundamentals of electrical engineering
- Solar installation and building envelope
- Project management solar installation
