Kann ich eine Ausbildung als Hochzeitsplanerin auch gleich nach der Schule machen?

Can I train as a wedding planner straight after school?

A young and dynamic wedding planner is definitely what you imagine, but not necessarily still a minor without a driver's license and permission to conduct a wine tasting with the prospective spouses for the upcoming wedding. Age definitely does not necessarily say anything about the talent and ability to plan and implement a wedding perfectly, but both schools and bridal couples expect wedding planners with professional, but above all life experience, who are on an equal footing with them and have similar experience. As the average age of people getting married in Switzerland is now around 30, a wedding planner aged 18 is sometimes not considered mature and experienced enough. In addition, many schools expect their applicants to have a sound basic education, for example in the form of an apprenticeship with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Federal VET Diploma) followed by professional experience. Please bear in mind that training as a wedding planner is not a federally recognized vocational education and training (VET), so you do not have a recognized professional qualification. An apprenticeship followed by continuing education, further training in wedding planning is therefore the better choice.
