Attending an interpreting school is not suitable as initial training after your compulsory schooling, as a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) in the field of applied languages is not yet possible. If you would like to work as a translator or interpreter, a university degree in multilingual communication or multimodal communication is ideal, provided of course that you meet the admission criteria. If this is not the case, you can also attend a translation school after training at upper-secondary level and obtain a translation diploma there.
