If you have another apprenticeship qualification, you must have at least 4 years of professional experience including one year in the management of at least one person. Persons without an apprenticeship qualification must have at least 8 years of professional experience. It is advisable for people without an apprenticeship in housekeeping to attend a preliminary course that provides them with basic knowledge of housekeeping in the areas of catering, laundry, cleaning and living.
