Continuing education, further training in nursing at a College of Higher Education (UAS) is also possible without a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate. However, an apprenticeship of at least three years with a Federal VET Diploma (or a Fachmittelschule diploma, Fachmatura or Baccalaureate) is required. However, the area in which you completed your apprenticeship does not matter. For people with a Federal VET Diploma in Healthcare, the CHE course can generally be shortened by up to one year.
