Can I go to a home economics school without work experience?
The type of education or continuing education, further training that you complete at a home economics school determines which requirements you must fulfill.
Vocational education and training (VET) (i.e. an apprenticeship as a hotel housekeeping practitioner Federal VET Diploma or as a hotel housekeeping specialist Federal VET Diploma) is of course possible without professional experience.
If you have a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training in Housekeeping, you still need appropriate professional experience in order to be admitted to the Federal Professional Examination, for example as a Head of Hotel Housekeeping (at least 3 years at 80% in the hotel housekeeping sector, including 1 year of management experience at 80%).
