Environmental sciences can really only be studied at a Universities, as you first need to acquire a great deal of theoretical knowledge before you can apply it practically, which is not possible in an apprenticeship. However, if you want to train in this field with an apprenticeship, there are a number of interesting options, such as Federal VET Diploma in Forestry, Federal VET Diploma in Recycling or Federal VET Diploma in Wine Technology. Building on these apprenticeship qualifications, a wide range of continuing education, further training in the field of environment and nature is then possible, such as the Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE) to become a nature and environment specialist with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education or an environmental consultant with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
