An apprenticeship in the hotel industry with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) is not mandatory for participation in the Federal Professional Examination for Head Receptionist. A Federal VET Diploma in Business Administration with three years of professional experience, including one year in administration or reception, is also possible, as is a non-branch Federal VET Diploma with four years of professional experience in administration or reception, as well as completion of the basic modules Marketing / Sales I and Finance I. A vocational trainer course is also mandatory for all candidates, as is the completion of all required modules or certificates of equivalence.
