Is a specific apprenticeship qualification required for the Tech Mechanical Engineering course (new: Mechanical Engineering Technician HF, formerly Technician HF Mechanical Engineering)?
It is not possible to start the Tech Mechanical Engineering HF course (formerly Technician HF Mechanical Engineering, now: Mechanical Engineering Technician HF) with every apprenticeship qualification. Course participants must therefore either have an EFZ from a four-year apprenticeship in the electrical industry, the metal industry or the mechanical engineering industry, or an EFZ from a profession in a related industry, such as an EFZ as a plant and apparatus engineer, polymechanic, automation technician or similar.
