The position you can take on after successfully completing the Product Manager course depends largely on the company you are or will be working for, as well as your professional experience and skills. You can either carry out only the activities that are assigned to you or manage entire company divisions independently. However, it is usually the case that people with this qualification in product management are entrusted with the management of a product or service area and, depending on the structure of a company, manage a department.
Your main task in your new position will be to plan, organize, coordinate and monitor all marketing activities required for your product or service area. You will coordinate and report to the Head of Marketing and other internal departments. You will carry out market analyses and market research in order to gain a precise understanding of customer needs and tailor new products and services accordingly. Introducing these to the market is also part of your new area of responsibility, which includes pricing and sales policy, as well as controlling and budgeting. In product management, you will then use sales promotion measures to ensure that the product is also a success for the company, drawing on specialists from advertising, public relations and sponsorship.
