I would like to work in garden design. What training do I need for this?

To work in garden design, you can start and shape your career in very different ways, depending on what school-leaving qualifications and professional qualifications you may already have. For example, you can start an apprenticeship as a Federal VET Diploma gardener after your compulsory schooling and then specialize further with a Federal Professional Examination (FPE) or special courses. You also have the option of enrolling for a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture UAS with the appropriate prerequisites and, if necessary, continuing your education with a further education course at Universities (CAS, DAS, MAS). If you do not know exactly which training or continuing education, further training in horticulture or landscape design is right for you, you can also contact our educational advisory service (navigation bar above under "Educational assistance") and receive detailed individual advice.
