I would like to become a heating service technician. What training do I need for this?
If you want to train as a heating service technician, you primarily need professional experience as a heating fitter, which you have acquired either during your apprenticeship or in practice. To be able to attend the course, you must therefore either have an apprenticeship qualification as a building services planner specializing in heating, as a heating fitter or a qualification related to the heating industry (but then with at least 2 years of additional professional experience as a heating fitter). You can also take part in the service technology seminar if you have completed an apprenticeship as a heating fitter Federal VET Certificate with at least two years of professional experience, or if you do not have an apprenticeship qualification but have worked as a heating fitter for at least four years.
