I have heard that I can choose a specialization when studying landscape architecture. Do I have to do this at the beginning of my studies?
It is only in the third year of their landscape architecture studies that students specialize in a subject area in which they acquire specialist skills over the following two semesters. These specializations at the HSR are: Landscape Design and Landscape Development; Landscape Management and Landscape Construction; and Planning and Design of Urban Open Spaces. The first two years of study give you enough time to identify your inclinations and choose the right specialization within landscape and garden design according to your interests. Student advisors are also available to support you in your choice.
