Anyone wishing to be admitted to the Federal Professional Examination in Maintenance Management (Maintenance Specialist with Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training) must have all the required module qualifications or a certificate of equivalence and additionally either a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in a technical profession followed by at least two years of practical professional experience in maintenance or a Federal VET Diploma in a non-technical profession or another upper-secondary level qualification with six years of practical professional experience in a technical profession, including two years in maintenance.
