Is there only one interpreting course that I can take?
In Switzerland, there is not just one way to study interpreting, but various courses with different focuses and specializations. For example, you can take a Bachelor's degree in "en communication multilingue" at the University of Geneva or a Bachelor's degree in "Translation" at the ZHAW Winterthur, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in German-speaking Switzerland. There you can specialize in three areas: "Multimodal communication", "Multilingual communication" and "Technical communication". You can also study for a bachelor's degree in interpreting with a specialization in "Sign Language Interpreting" at the Intercantonal University for Special Needs Education.
