In total, you can complete a commercial apprenticeship in 21 different areas, so that you learn the same thing everywhere at vocational school, but acquire industry-specific knowledge at the training company. Inter-company courses are also geared towards the industry knowledge to be acquired and last between 2 and 4 days. In addition, you can complete any commercial apprenticeship with different profiles, which place different expectations on the apprentice, and as basic basic training (profile B), advanced basic training (profile E) and with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (profile M).
