Gibt es bestimmte Starttermine für die Sprachkurse?
Are there specific start dates for the language courses?
As a rule, language courses start on Mondays and can be started or finished on a weekly basis. However, especially with smaller language schools, you may not be able to start every week, but have fixed course starts, for example every three weeks. For business courses, where demand is somewhat lower than for standard language courses, there are also usually fixed dates every few weeks, so that such a course is actually profitable for the language school. However, there are far fewer starting dates for special courses, such as combination courses consisting of a language course and an activity, for example English and golf, Spanish and flamenco or Italian and wine, as well as exam preparation courses that prepare students for a wide variety of language diplomas, such as DELF, DELE or the Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE). As the language exams have fixed examination dates, which sometimes only take place twice a year depending on the language, the start dates of the corresponding preparation courses are based on these dates. You learn everything you need to pass these exams at a language school and then visit an official examination center on site or nearby where you take the language test.
