Who is a hotel apprenticeship suitable for?
Various basic training courses are offered in the hotel and catering industry: Federal VET Diploma in Hotel Management, Federal VET Diploma in Hotel Communication, Federal VET Certificate in Hotel Management, Federal VET Certificate in Restaurant Management, Federal VET Certificate in Restaurant Management and Federal VET Certificate in Hotel-Gastro-Tourism (HGT). An apprenticeship in the hotel industry is suitable for young people who enjoy dealing with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, have good manners and can express themselves well both verbally and in writing, in German and in at least one foreign language. A talent for organization and a sense of order should also be among the qualities of a trainee, as well as networked thinking, resilience and composure in hectic situations and enjoy working on a PC. Service awareness is one of the most important requirements for future employees in the hotel industry.
