English learning costs: How much does an English course cost?
The cost of learning English varies depending on the type of course, learning method and provider. One-to-one lessons (sometimes by subscription) are certainly more expensive than group lessons. An individual lesson can cost between CHF 40 and CHF 190. Trial lessons, on the other hand, are usually cheaper or even free. Shorter courses in large groups are offered from around CHF 200 to CHF 1,000. Diploma courses, intensive courses or courses in small groups tend to cost between CHF 400 and CHF 5,000. In addition, there may be costs for teaching materials and any examination fees.
