Learning German for beginners to advanced learners: What German language exams are there?
If you want to learn German for beginners to advanced learners and have your knowledge confirmed with a recognized language diploma, you can do this at all levels with the language exams of the Goethe-Institut. The institute offers the following language exams:
- Certificate Basic Module German as a Foreign Language (GBS DF) - Level A2
- Certificate German as a Foreign Language (ZD) - Level B1
- Zertifikat Deutsch für den Beruf (ZDfB) - Level B2
- Central Intermediate Level Examination (ZMP) - Level C1
- Central Upper Level Examination (ZOP) - Level C2
There are also other language examinations, such as the German Language Diploma of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (DSD), which is aimed at young people and can be taken as part of German lessons at school.
