Deutsch als Zweitsprache lernen – was lernt man genau?
Learning German as a second language - what exactly do you learn?
Those who learn German as a second language (DaZ) specifically build up language skills for everyday life, work and education. The following topics are covered in a typical German course:
- Conducting and understanding conversations with colleagues
- Correctly record customers and their concerns
- Understanding and implementing instructions from superiors
- Use technical terms from the respective professional field
- Systematically improve your German language skills - for example up to level B1 or higher
- Preparation for recognized language exams (depending on the course offered)
The content can vary depending on the course format and target group. Language courses are often based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) so that learners can prepare specifically for a language goal - for example, for starting a career or continuing their education.
