German course: Who are language exams / language diplomas suitable for?
Language exams, such as those offered by the Goethe-Institut, are suitable for anyone who wants or needs to have their language skills certified. This may be the case, for example, if you need to prove your language skills for a new job or to gain admission to a university in a German-speaking country. Of course, exams are also suitable for anyone who only wants to obtain a German diploma to document their progress.
All Goethe certificates have an age recommendation that is tailored to young people and adults. For example, there is a German for Professional Purposes certificate, which is open to people aged 18 and over. It usually makes sense to prepare for these exams in a German course. Language schools often offer preparatory German courses specially developed for the individual exams.
