Does every CAS course take the same amount of time?
No, not every Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) course has the same duration.
The simple reason for this is that these continuing education, further training courses are not federally recognized courses that are regulated throughout Switzerland, but are designed by the Universities themselves in terms of form, content and duration.
In many cases, a CAS has a minimum of 10 ECTS credits, in other cases 15 ECTS credits, so that the learning effort varies in terms of both attendance time and self-study.
You can roughly expect a CAS in Alternative Energy to take 1 to 2 semesters.
