Does a course in building services take longer than a year?
The duration of a course in building services can vary greatly depending on the type of continuing education, further training or apprenticeship you are interested in.
You can aim for a two- to three-semester Federal Professional Examination, but you can also opt for a course that lasts just one day as an introductory course.
Specialist courses that build on such a course, such as basic heating technology, electrical engineering, sanitary engineering or ventilation technology, can also be of short duration, often a few days, but can extend over several years as full training as a service technician HFA ventilation/air conditioning.
As you can see, a course to become an in-house technician can last from one day to well over a year, so it is up to you how long you would like to spend on basic or in-depth training.
