Each canton decides independently on the licensing requirement for running a naturopathic practice. In a few cantons this does not exist, in most others it has been introduced in the last few years at the latest and requires very different conditions, such as an EMR registration, a passed professional association examination, a passed licensing examination, at least 1500 hours of training, at least three years of training and six months of practical training in the relevant specialty.
