Do I need further work experience with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate to study wood technology at a University of Applied Sciences?
If you have completed an apprenticeship in the wood industry (Federal VET Diploma in Wood Industry) with a Federal VET Diploma in Wood Industry, you do not need any additional professional experience to study wood technology at a University of Applied Sciences.
However, if you have no previous experience in timber construction and have a different Federal Vocational Baccalaureate or Baccalaureate, a pre-study internship in the timber industry is mandatory.
This internship can normally be completed in Germany or abroad and lasts one year.
