Continuing education, further training to become a Financial Market Operator / Expert in Financial Market Operations (FMO) is a course that leads to the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) and, if passed, awards a federally recognized diploma. In order to be admitted to the AFPE, applicants do not necessarily have to have completed additional continuing education, further training after completing their apprenticeship or high school diploma, but must have worked in the banking and finance sector for at least five years. For a Bachelor's degree this is 3 years, for a university degree 2 years of professional experience.
