Do I need a MarKom exam for all marketing training courses?
You do not need a MarKom certificate examination for the majority of certificate courses in marketing. A MarKom examination is only required for the Federal Professional Examination (FPE) Sales Specialist, Marketing Specialist, PR Specialist, Copywriter and Communication Planner and the resulting advanced courses, including the 2018 examination year. However, such an examination is not required for marketing training without a federal qualification, such as marketing courses, online marketing courses or similar. As of the 2019 examination year, the Markom certificate examination is no longer mandatory, but is still a very good entry into marketing. However, please ask the schools directly about the admission requirements for the individual courses.
