Do I need a university degree for a CAS, DAS or MAS?
You do not necessarily need a university degree to participate in a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) or Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) course. For many continuing education courses with a CAS or DAS qualification, several years of relevant professional experience are sufficient for admission, as these are not federal qualifications. A university degree is required for many MAS courses, but prospective students can also be admitted through a sur dossier procedure. However, all three types of degree are not university degrees in the strict sense, such as a Bachelor's or Master's (MA), which are considered initial training or academic continuing, further training, but postgraduate courses, which are much shorter and should not be confused with a university degree.
