Do I need any specific previous training to become a homeopath?
Homeopathy courses are possible without any special prior knowledge, only a qualification at upper-secondary level is often expected. You do not need any previous medical knowledge for these courses, nor for the homeopathy course at a College of Higher Education. However, for specialist further training courses, such as the SVHA certificate of competence, you must already have a medical degree and at least five years of specialist further training, as well as having worked in alternative medicine in classical homeopathy.
