What does the phytobenthos course consist of?
The certificate course "CAS Phytobenthos - Aquatic Plants and Algae" consists of a total of three modules, which cover the following topics:
- Bio-indication: methods for biological water assessment according to Swiss standards for flowing and still waters, systematics and ecology of algae, diatoms and macrophytes
- Knowledge of species: Identification of algae (filamentous algae, crustose algae, brachiopods), diatoms and macrophytes, systematics and ecology of lichens and mosses in water bodies
- Thesis
