Which CASs make up the MAS in Child Protection Switzerland?

The Master's degree program in Child Protection Switzerland, specifically the MAS in Child and Youth Welfare, consists of two compulsory elective CASs and one elective CAS. The compulsory elective CASs available in 2019 are: CAS Effective Action in Child and Youth Welfare; CAS Case Management in Child and Youth Welfare; CAS Child and Adult Protection Law (with compulsory elective course Child Protection Switzerland). Depending on the CAS chosen, topics such as legal foundations; evaluation methods; conducting conversations with children and young people; developmental psychology in practice; professional help planning and case understanding; maxims for action; relationship and network-oriented case management; case management at the system level; measures in civil law child protection are covered; Reporting endangerment versus criminal charges; legal representation rights; child representation, especially in proceedings before the KESB; adult protection and people with dementia; guardianship in adult protection; child protection and domestic violence; data protection in social work; dealing with mentally ill clients; children of mentally ill parents, conflict discussions and conflict resolution. The elective CAS can be chosen from all CAS of the Department of Social Work according to individual interest.
