What does a video producer do? What does their professional activity look like?

Video producers are often all in one: realizer, journalist, cameraman and sound operator. They have to be masters of the video trade because they are responsible for the entire production, from the development of the material and script to the costing and financing to the production and post-production of the video with editing and sound.

Video producers produce advertising films, short films, animated films, music videos and so on. In them, they tell stories and convey emotions. They convey complex content to a specific audience in well-made image and product videos. To do this, they research and record the information with a video camera. To ensure a good film production, they create a film concept, a script and a storyboard. Video producers think carefully in advance about which editing techniques they will use when and for what purpose, as they can play with the effects and their impact. They then sort out the image and sound material created during the video shoot, edit and structure it and give it its final form. Finally, they also design a suitable cover.

Video producers also animate banners and web content.

Video producers work in the marketing or communications departments of larger companies, at media companies, in advertising agencies, in the film industry and in television. They also often work as freelancers.
