Modulaufbau Berufsprüfung Versicherungsfachmann / Versicherungsfachfrau mit eidgenössischem Fachausweis:

• obligatorische Module - Vertiefung der Versicherungsgrundlagen
• Wahlmodule - Spezialisierung auf Fachgebiet
• Prozessmodule - Abschlussprüfung über einen Versicherungskernprozess

Der Nachweis der gültigen Modulzertifikate (obligatorische Module und drei Wahlmodule) ist Bestandteil der Zulassungskriterien für die eidgenössische Prüfung. Die Modulprüfungen dürfen nicht länger als fünf Jahre zurückliegen.

• Federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ, apprenticeship certificate) in the private insurance sector and at least two years of practical experience after completing the apprenticeship in the professional field of insurance.

or

• Federal certificate of proficiency from an apprenticeship of at least three years' duration or a commercial secondary school (recognized by the federal government) or a high school diploma and proof of passing the written examination for insurance intermediaries and at least three years of practical experience in the insurance sector.

or

• Proof of passing the written examination for insurance intermediaries VBV and five years of professional experience, of which at least three years in the insurance sector.

and

• Proof of the required valid module certificates or confirmation of equivalence.

Graduates of the Swiss Federal Diploma of Insurance Specialist who aspire to a management position and are interested in the overall context of the insurance industry can enter the Higher College of Insurance HIA without an examination and benefit from the waiver of individual parts of the course.

• Accident insurance (mandatory/extra-mandatory)

Process modules: (One module must be selected)

• Underwriting, including product management
• Claims and benefits processing, service management
• Sales and support
• Broking

The federal final examination deals with one of the aforementioned core processes.
