Der Zertifikatslehrgang CAS Vegetationsanalyse und Feldbotanik ist nicht Teil eines umfassenderen Masterstudiums Master of Advanced Studies MAS, sondern wird unabhängig von einem solchen angeboten.

Ein CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) ist ein Weiterbildungsabschluss an einer Hochschule.

  • Dauer: In der Regel 1 Semester berufsbegleitend
  • Titel: "Certificate of Advanced Studies in (Thema)"
  • Anerkennung: Internationale Vergleichbarkeit via ECTS-Punkte
  • ECTS-Punkte (European Credit Transfer System = Internationale Leistungspunkte)

Ökologisches und botanisches Grundwissen über Arten und Lebensräume werden von den Teilnehmenden des CAS Vegetationsanalyse und Feldbotanik vorausgesetzt.

Der Zertifikatslehrgang CAS besteht aus den Modulen „Feldbotanik“, „Vegetationsanalyse“ sowie „CAS-Abschlussarbeit“. Die ersten beiden Module können auch unabhängig von dem Zertifikatslehrgang als Weiterbildung besucht werden, sofern noch freie Plätze verfügbar sind.

Mit einem Umfang von 21 Präsenztagen über die Dauer von einem bis zu anderthalb Jahren findet der Zertifikatslehrgang CAS Vegetationsanalyse und Feldbotanik berufsbegleitend statt.

Teilnehmende des CAS Vegetationsanalyse und Feldbotanik erlangen umfangreiches Wissen und Know-how in der Projektplanung, der Kartierung und Ansprache von Vegetationseinheiten im Feld, der Verwendung von Luftbildern und GPS zur Vegetations-Kartierung, in der Verwaltung und Auswertung von Vegetationsdaten, sowie in der selbständigen Durchführung von Monitoringprojekten, Vegetationskartierungen und Artenschutzprogrammen.
