Tell us about your background.

My name is Kristjan Marku. I live in Staffelbach in Aargau. I trained as a polymechanic and then studied mechanical engineering HF. Today I am a mechanical engineering technician HF.

Why did you complete your studies at wbz Lenzburg?

The wbz was recommended to me by a work colleague who studied mechanical engineering HF here himself. I then attended the information evening. I really liked it there - especially the fact that the lecturers come directly from the field and teach in a practical way. That's why I chose the wbz as my school.

What motivated you to study Mechanical Engineering Technician HF?

I decided to study to become a mechanical engineering technician HF because I wanted to continue my education in a practical way. The HF Mechanical Engineering Technician (since 25.10.22 Mechanical Engineering Technician HF) allows me to expand my previous knowledge as a polymechanic in an obvious and optimal way. My future career goals are to work in work preparation (AVOR), as a production planner or team leader. The Mechanical Engineering Technician HF course fits in perfectly with these goals.

How does mechanical engineering HF training support you in your work?

Thanks to the mechanical engineering HF training, my expertise in my job as a polymechanic has increased greatly. As a result, I have a better understanding of all the connections between AVOR and the polymechanics. In addition to my practical knowledge, I can better understand operational relationships and interpret business figures thanks to the mechanical engineering HF training. I am now looking for a new job where I can use all my knowledge as a mechanical engineering technician HF.

What did you like best about studying to become a mechanical engineer HF?

What I liked best about the Mechanical Engineering Technician HF course was that we were taught in a very practical way. We were able to use our own companies as practical examples. This allowed us to solve very practical tasks and also take something back to our companies.

I found the coronavirus period difficult during my mechanical engineering HF training. After that, we had to solve the tasks from home. As a result, we had less support with learning and the amount of self-study increased. I found this a little more difficult. As a result, I had to spend more time studying. But it got better over time.

By studying to become a mechanical engineer HF, I was certainly able to increase my market value. As a result, many doors are open to me today. I can continue to develop in the direction I want.

Have you also grown personally as a result of the mechanical engineering HF training?

I became a father during my mechanical engineering HF training. This has certainly helped me to mature personally. But I also grew personally thanks to the many new things I learned during my training, my focus on solutions and my greater independence.

As a polymechanic you will certainly have a good salary, as a mechanical engineering technician HF you will certainly have an even better salary.

Which subjects from the Mechanical Engineering Technician HF course helped you the most?

The subject of business management in the Mechanical Engineering Technician HF course was the one that developed me the most. As a lot of things were new, it really broadened my horizons as a polymechanic. I was fascinated to learn how to run a company and everything that goes with it. The atmosphere in the Mechanical Engineering Technician HF course was very good. I had a very good class. We had a good time together. The lecturers were very open and competent towards us. They were very helpful and always there for us.

Is there a key moment for you from your mechanical engineering HF training?

For me, the camp in Bramboden is a key moment from the mechanical engineering HF training. In this seminar at the beginning of the course, which included an overnight stay, we learned more about employee management. The topic was very exciting and instructive for me. We had a good time there together.

What do you like best about wbz Lenzburg?

What I like about wbz Lenzburg is the good transport links to the A1 highway. This makes for a quick journey. The Timeout restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price.

Is there anything else important to say about the Mechanical Engineering Technician HF course?

When studying to become a mechanical engineering technician HF, you can take the professional examination to become a production specialist with a federal certificate after one year and complete the HF diploma after a further two years.
