Why did you decide to go on a language study trip?

To improve your French language skills, speak more fluently and get to know French-speaking Switzerland.

In which country and in which city did your language study trip take place?

In Montreux, Switzerland. The small town is located directly on Lake Geneva in the middle of a wine-growing region.

When did you complete the French language study trip? How long did it last?

For one month in winter 2008.

How satisfied were you with your language study trip? What did you particularly like?

I was very happy with my language study trip to French-speaking Switzerland. The school in particular was great and the family was also good. The school did a lot for the language students, so you could make good use of the language. It was nice for me to get to know French-speaking Switzerland for once.

What did the language study trip do for you personally and for your career?

A language study trip strengthens your own personality. I realized how different Switzerland can be and that the mentality in French-speaking Switzerland is also a little different. It helps me a lot professionally. When looking for a job, it always goes down very well if you know French and are a cosmopolitan person.

What tips would you give to anyone interested in a language study trip?

Go on lots of excursions or other activities during your language study trip so that you can continuously improve your French skills. I would also choose a host family for the accommodation, because you get to know the culture of the people better and can use the language more.
